Carly Vannoy is the 2017 Iowa Honey Queen. She travels the state sharing about honey bees, honey, and beekeeping. Her family has been keeping bees for three years, and they are currently managing two colonies. During her reign, Carly has been able to give over 200 educational programs and is happy to share about what she has learned with anyone who is willing to listen. Ask her about the color or mystery honey, the strange use of beehives in midieval times, and how bees make mummies! She may bring honey to purchase.
